Short Stories
Gordon didn't want to start his own website, he really didn't. He wanted to write some good stories, earn a small paycheck for his time, and just be happy he was sharing his work with the world. Sadly, though he was creating fine works, he knew his tales just weren't right for today's science fiction and fantasy short story markets. He read issue after issue of Analog, Fantasy and Science Fiction, and Asimov's and eventually fell into bitter despair. What market was there for a dragon who just wanted to entertain and wasn't the least bit interested in writing the artsy, vague, drivel that filled the pages of most magazines? Then he had an idea, start a website, not just for his own endeavors, but to reach out to all the other talented writers who must be feeling the same way.
Here's how it works:
In this section you will find the very best stories that have been submitted to us by writers around the world. We follow a rigorous screening process and choose only stories that meet our rather high standards; standards which are quite different than that of most short story magazines. We look for quality entertainment more than for artistic integrity. We post our favorite and offer them to the public, in the spirit of everything that is great on the internet, free of charge. On each story there is a "Donate to this Author" button to give our readers the chance to say thank you to the stories creators, and to help a struggling artist practice their craft. All of these donations go directly, 100%, to the author who wrote that story.
